Man who left bomb at Colo. mall gets life sentence
Bomb was planted at a shopping mall near Columbine High School on the 12th anniversary of the deadly shootings
Earl Albert Moore apologized Thursday at his sentencing hearing in federal court in Denver.
Moore pleaded guilty in December to using a destructive device in a crime of violence.
Jefferson County sheriff's officials say Moore planted a homemade bomb at the Southwest Plaza Mall and started a fire there April 20, 2011. No one was hurt.
Moore was released from a South Carolina prison a week before the mall fire. He previously lived in Colorado.
Moore has said there was no connection between the mall fire and the 1999 shootings in which two Columbine students killed 13 people then themselves.
