Report: Fla. 'cannibal' didn't swallow flesh

Law enforcement sources said an autopsy on Rudy Eugene found no human flesh in his stomach

UPI

MIAMI — The accused Miami cannibal apparently did not swallow any of the flesh he allegedly chewed from the face of a homeless man, sources told The Miami Herald.

Law enforcement sources told the newspaper an autopsy on Rudy Eugene found no human flesh in his stomach even though he was gnawing on his victim's face when he was shot to death by police.

Eugene, 31, allegedly pounced on a hapless Ronald Poppo along the side of the MacArthur Causeway and bit large chunks out of his face as horrified commuters passed by. Police arrived on the scene and shot Eugene dead.
