Thomson Reuters to Recognize Everyday Heroes
Eagan, Minn. - After 21 years of escaping justice, a fugitive convicted sex offender was finally caught and put behind bars after investigators pinpointed his location via CLEAR, the powerful Thomson Reuters investigative platform. The “ah-ha” moment that investigator must have had when the missing piece of information was found is the focus of the 2012 Everyday Heroes Awards program sponsored by the Fraud Prevention & Investigations business of Thomson Reuters.
The Everyday Heroes Awards are intended to celebrate moments like these, through the submission of success stories from customers who have made a positive impact on their workplaces and their greater communities with Thomson Reuters public and proprietary records search products.
Stories like the one above are being sought from users of CLEAR, Westlaw PeopleMap and Batch Solutions. The customer who submits the most compelling story will receive a $5,000 charitable donation made by Thomson Reuters on their behalf to their choice of several selected charities. Two other Everyday Heroes Awards recipients will receive charitable donations made on their behalf in the amounts of $2,500 and $1,000. Successful submissions will describe how the use of a Thomson Reuters online public records product helped the customer move their case or project forward for their organization, client or community.
“Thomson Reuters is proud to offer the marketplace best-of-breed investigative solutions that assist our customers, who are truly the everyday heroes, in making the world a better, safer and more fair place to live,” says Andy Russell, vice president, Fraud Prevention & Investigations, Thomson Reuters. “We’re excited to receive these great success stories from our valued customers, and are thrilled to recognize and honor them, and the selected charities, with these awards.”
A panel of Thomson Reuters employees, as well as experts from the corporate, government and law firm markets, will evaluate each story and determine the award recipients. To have a success story considered for an Everyday Heroes Award, customers must submit a nomination via hero.thomsonreuters.com by December 31, 2012. Winners will be notified by Jan. 31, 2013. The charities selected by the recipients will receive their donations by Feb. 28, 2013.
