A man acquitted at trial claimed Deputy Josie Fox was killed in 2010 when her brother picked up an AK-47, placed it against her chest and fired twice

SPANISH FORK, Utah — Following a week-long trial and eight hours of deliberation, a jury late Friday night acquitted Roberto Miramontes Román of the 2010 slaying of Millard County Deputy Josie Fox.
The 4th District Court jury of six men and four women found Román, 40, not guilty of first-degree felony aggravated murder, but convicted him of felony counts of evidence tampering and illegal possession of a dangerous weapon.
