Video: Suspects do push-ups at traffic stop

Police are investigating the actions of some of their officers after a resident's video surfaced showing suspects doing push-ups

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — North Providence Police are investigating the actions of some of their officers after a resident's video surfaced showing what looked like five suspects being made to do push-ups.

From this video, it appears that the male subjects are doing push-ups on the side of the road, seemingly at the request of police during a traffic stop.

Resident Joel Murphy told NBC 10 it was on the street in front of his house, where the kids, who he assumes to be in their late teens, were made to do about 10 or 12 pushups while officers stood by and watched. He still doesn't know why the officers might do that.
