The victim, an off-duty Salem police officer, is reported in critical condition at Salem Hospital.
The initial investigation indicated on December 10, 2012 at approximately 1:19 a.m. the victim, Kenneth Nunez age 48, was walking toward his motorcycle parked in front of his residence when he was struck by a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup driven by his wife, Shirley Nunez, age 47. A few minutes before the reported crash, Salem police was responding to a reported incident in the 1800 block of Torrance Street S. where an adult female reported Shirley Nunez, armed with a handgun, came to the residence.
