Cop killed by colleague in 'holdup' prank

The officer in the car drew his gun and fired several shots into the stomach of the friend

SAO PAULO — An officer in Brazil who was playing a prank on a colleague by simulating a holdup was shot and killed Thursday.

The incident happened in Rondonopolis when an officer was pulling out of his garage to go to work.

His friend on the department — who was wearing a helmet — rode up on a motorcycle and announced a holdup.

Not knowing who the man was, the officer in the car fired several shots into his stomach. When he realized the true identity of the man, he rushed him to a hospital but he later died, according to the Associated Press
