MANHATTAN — A crazed man ranting about the IRS ran in front of a crowd near the filming of the Today Show in Times Square and slit both his wrists before police tackled him to the ground.

Pak Chong Mar staggered up to fans outside Rockerfeller Plaza Thursday morning with a pile of papers allegedly from the IRS, asking people in broken English to look at them, according to the New York Daily News.

He then yelled,“I’m going to cut myself,” twice before hacking at his own wrist.

A bystander wrestled the 4-inch blade out of his hand, but  he pulled out a second knife and continued cutting until officers tackled him.

Mar was so bloody that police used their feet to detain him until EMS crews arrived, according to the report.

Mar was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
