One year after Sandy Hook Elementary: What have we learned?

It's been a year since Adam Lanza shot his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School and gunned down 20 children and 6 adults before taking his own life, catapulting issues from gun control to arming and training teachers and hiring school security to the forefront of lawmakers' agendas. Meanwhile the officers and families of Newtown continue to struggle to move on from the tragedy and find a new 'normal.' On a larger scale, police and lawmakers alike ask themselves 'what have we learned from this tragedy?' Here, we look deeper into that question.
