BARRON COUNTY, Wis. — After criss-crossing county lines during a 20-mile, high-speed chase in Wisconsin, police dash cam video caught some intense moments that seem more like a movie than an actual arrest.

Investigators say dashboard camera video shows the 20 mile chase June 3, with speeds ranging from 30mph to 80 mph in Dunn and Barron counties. After driving around two sets of stop sticks, a Barron County deputy performed a PIT maneuver and was quickly met with gunshots from suspect Jared Brendel, police say. Three deputies shot back roughly 10 times, hitting Brendel’s car door repeatedly.

With Brendel under arrest and facing attempted murder charges, and no one hurt in the shootout, Sheriff Smith calls the ordeal “textbook quality.” He plans to use the video for training, but the sheriff in the next county hopes his officers won't need to.
