Texas Police Score Huge Ecstasy Bust

By April Kinser, The Dallas Morning News

One man was behind bars Wednesday following the seizure of almost 5,000 Ecstasy pills in what Fort Worth police say was their largest bust of its kind.

Tam T. Vo, 33 of Keller remained in the Mansfield Law Enforcement Center on $50,000 bond. Dustin Nguyen, 24, of Carrollton, and Kim Huynh, 24, of Arlington were released Tuesday after posting bonds of $10,000 and $25,000, respectively.

All three were arrested Monday evening after narcotics officers received a tip that a significant amount of Ecstasy would be transported from an Arlington home, said Fort Worth police Lt. Abdul Pridgen.

Pridgen said police followed Vo from Fort Worth to Huynh?s Arlington home, where he exited a short time later with a small box.

?(Vo) then got into his own personal vehicle and left followed by two other vehicles,? Pridgen said.

All three suspects were heading back toward Fort Worth when police stopped them on Southwest Loop 820 on suspicion of traffic infractions.

Police found the pills inside Vo?s vehicle and arrested him on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Police also arrested Vo on a parole violation charge out of Tarrant County.

Nguyen was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun.

Huynh was arrested on a charge of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance after police searched her home and found 80 more Ecstasy pills, Pridgen said.

"It appears the pills were intended to be transported and sold in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas," he said.
