Ala. man is a 'hero in law enforcement'

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — At the Attorney General's 2007 Law Enforcement Summit held today in Montgomery, approximately 570 law enforcement professionals received specialized training to deal with school violence issues. In addition to a series of presentations by experts about "School Violence: Equipping Law Enforcement for Crises on Campus," this eighth annual conference featured a tribute by Attorney General Troy King to the state's law enforcement officer of the year and recipients for the state's three regions.  He also honored five fallen law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty during the last year, presenting family members with Certificates of Valor . . .Full Story
