FORT HOOD, Texas — Sgt. Kimberly Munley is still America's hero, but she may have to share some of the adoration.

A more complicated chronology is emerging of the frantic few seconds when Munley, a civilian cop assigned to Fort Hood, traded shots with spree killer Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan outside the Army base's soldier processing center.
