Wash. police to pay tribute to fallen officers

YAKIMA, Wash. — The Yakima Police Department will honor officers slain or disabled in the line of duty in a ceremony Thursday at the police station. The department's Honor Guard will participate in the ceremony, which will get under way at 11 a.m. The public is invited.

As part of the ceremony, the block in front of the station at 200 S. Third St. will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
