BARNEGAT, N.J. — A police officer pulled an incapacitated man from the passenger seat of a burning car Monday.

In the video, eight-year police veteran Officer Lauren Keilitz runs to a burning BMW parked in a driveway, yelling "Get of the car!"

According to Dept. spokesman Lt. Keith Germain, 57-year-old Mario Dischiavi was inside and unresponsive. After reaching into the vehicle, Keilitz dragged Dischiavi and herself to safety.

Neighbors saw Dischiavi in the car listening to music before the fire started, The New Jersey Star-Ledger reported, and after the heroic rescue, was treated at a local hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
