Riverside police Officer Andrew Tachias, who was shot last week with his training partner while on patrol, saw another partner shot just months earlier at his previous job.

Tachias, 27, was shot Feb. 7 in an early morning rampage police attributed to fired Los Angeles police officer Christopher Dorner. Tachias' partner, Officer Michael Crain, died of his injuries and was buried Wednesday.
