EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Now and then, stories go viral on daring police rescues. This time, some precious cargo was returned to a little girl by an officer with a soft spot.

Right This Minute recently ran a video that has gotten an Indiana sergeant a lot of attention. Evansville, Ind., police Sgt. Jason Cullum was driving down Interstate 64 when he found something in the road that he believed to be an animal that had been hit by a car.

He soon found out it was something else, and made efforts to get it back to its owner.
