We hear stories every day about cops rescuing civilians; from car crashes, suicide attempts, hostage situations, burning buildings, and domestic disputes, law enforcement officers are there when people find themselves in some of the most dangerous situations — but every now and again, it's the cops who need rescuing, and we owe a big 'thank you' to the courageous citizens who find themselves in the right place at the right time who are willing to help.

Meet Mike Elgas, the man who was dining at a Jack in the Box when he saw a large man overpower a Metro officer and sprang into action to save the officer's life.
