Texas cop demoted for nude online pictures

The 20-year veteran lost her sergeant's rank and transferred from street patrol to the property room

UPI

HOUSTON — A 20-year veteran of the Houston Police Department has lost her sergeant's rank for posting nude pictures of herself on a modeling site.

A lawyer for the Houston Police Officers Union said Tuesday Stacey Suro had accepted the police chief's recommended discipline, which includes the demotion in rank and transfer from street patrol to the property room, the Houston Chronicle reported.

A five-month investigation determined Suro violated the department's policy that officers must "exhibit professional conduct at all times and shall not engage in any activity, including unlawful activity that would degrade or bring disrespect upon the employee or the department," officials said.

The pictures, posted on ModelMayhem.com, have been removed.

Suro reportedly posted more than 100 photographs, including some that showed bondage and sexual fetishes.

Local television station KPRC-TV said Suro, in an online biography that also has been taken down, used the name "Tessoro" and said she was available for paid modeling jobs.
