Job Description

With minimum supervision responds to calls for service, conducts investigations, makes arrests,patrols areas of responsibility, enforces traffic laws and other law enforcement duties as assigned.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office patrols approximately 8,000 square miles ranging from Desert to high pines. We offer opportunites for special assignments such as SWAT, narcotics, K-9, forrest patrol and criminal investigations. We are a progressive and modern Law Enforcement Agency. Job Requirements

Age 21

Education H.S. diploma or G.E.D

Experience Minimum of 1 year

Additional Requirement :
In order to be eligible for lateral hire you must have a minimum of 12 months, continuous and full-time, employment as a peace officer within the last three years. If coming from outside the state of Arizona you must be eligible for the AZPOST waiver exam (information can be obtained at www.azpost.gov).

Salary Information

Entry Level Salary: $40,000 annual

Lateral: $42-45K annual
