Try polarized sunglasses

I have found it very helpful to wear polarized sunglasses while on patrol. They make it is easier to see through car windows when you make your approach on traffic stops because they eliminate most of the glare on the glass. They also eliminate glare from the road after rain and make it easier to spot seat belt violations.
