Lion Apparel’s Tactix MT94 Chem-Bio Suit for Law Enforcement Tested and Recommended by Members of the National Tactical Officers Association
DAYTON, OHIO — Lion Apparel’s Tactix® MT94™ Chem-Bio Suit for law enforcement professionals has been tested and recommended by members of the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA). The NTOA is a nationally recognized leader in law enforcement training, information and networking for first responders.
Lion’s Tactix® MT94, a multi-wear ensemble designed to provide protection against a variety of threats, including chemical/biological terrorism agents, is currently on the market to help protect first responders against CBRN agents. The Tactix® MT94 is certified to meet NFPA standards 1994 Class 2 and 1992.
“Lion is pleased to receive this acknowledgement from the tactical operators community for the design, fit and functionality of the MT94,” said Diane Redden, general manager of Lion Government Group’s civilian business unit. “The MT94 will soon have a companion Class 3 two-piece suit for the ‘warm zone’ for areas of less exposure. We'll seek the NTOA seal of approval for that suit, as well.”
NTOA reviewers awarded the MT94 a score of 4.39 out of 5. The suit was judged using the following criteria: design, performance, ease of use, size, quality, durability, storage, versatility, convenience, application, comfort, accuracy and cleaning and maintenance.
The NTOA provided the following tester comments from their reviews of Lion’s Tactix MT94:
“The Tactix MT94 Suit is a GREAT piece of equipment. The suits designer really thought of the law enforcement community. As compared to other suits, the MT94 has a very durable outer shell that resists rips and tears. The suit can be put on or taken off with only one person as compared to other type suits that require two people (the wearer and an assistant to help you seal everything up). The MT94 seals and protects the user and has a special feature around the users head. The hood fits snug around the face and allows you to wear your helmet and SCBA mask as well as make minor adjustments with ease. Another great feature is the built in utility belt holder. This allows the wearer to maintain a gun belt securely around the waist without movement or discomfort. The MT94 cleaned up easy and within 20 to 30 minutes was quickly stored or ready for another use. Overall I liked this product and would highly recommend it …”

“I tested this suit in a two types of chemical irritant environment … During the test, only exposed skin felt the effects of the chemical agent. At no time throughout testing did any area protected by the suit suffer any irritant effects. I used the suit both with a military gas mask and SCBA. Both systems worked fine. Mobility throughout testing was excellent, allowing for full range of movement. This suit is highly recommended to be added to any first responders’ equipment list. If required to go in to a hazardous area with unknown agents present, I would not hesitate to don this suit and enter.”
