2 die after pickup driven by undercover officer, car collide

DETROIT — Police say a car that failed to stop at a blinking red traffic light in Detroit was struck by a pickup truck driven by an on-duty undercover Dearborn police officer.
A Detroit couple in the car died in the crash.
The crash happened late last night. Police say 62-year-old Hassan H. Nassar and his wife, 58-year-old passenger Alham Nassar, were pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The officer was treated and released.
