ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Inmates at Orange County's Men's Central Jail have been placed on lockdown because of an April 29 fight involving several black and Latino inmates, a sheriff's official said Monday.

The fight came just four days after the Sheriff's Department lifted a previous lockdown that was the result of a fight that injured a dozen inmates in two dormitories at the Santa Ana Jail, said sheriff's Capt. Roland Chacon.
