Dealing with the odor of decomposing bodies

I responded to a male who died alone in a hotel room and was found by housekeeping after 3 days in a closed room with no a/c. Probably the worst smelling body I've had to deal with. I found out that Febreze helps cover most of the odor and made it a LOT easier to conduct the investigation. I now keep a small bottle of Febreze with a dust mask in my car for the next time.
