N.M. officer stabbed during fight

ALBUQUERQUE — An Albuquerque m a n remained in jail Thursday on felony charges after allegedly stabbing a police officer who had broken up a fight between the man and another male who was using a walker, court records show.

Kenneth Tortolito, 44, was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of aggravated battery on a police officer following the alleged incident at Fourth and Copper NW, according to a criminal complaint filed in Metropolitan Court. He was being held at the West Side jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
