Safariland Introduces Dedicated 3-Gun Case for Growing Multi-Gun Competition Market
Jacksonville, Florida – Safariland™, a BAE Systems line of business, announced today the release of the Model 4556 3-Gun Competition Case for the competitive shooting market. An entirely new design, this model was developed specifically for use by competitors in the rapidly growing Multi-Gun shooting arena. Providing key features requested by today’s competitive shooter, this case offers efficient organization and eliminates the need for several separate cases or gear bags.
The Safariland Model 4556 compartmentalizes each essential element of the Multi-Gun event. A large body with lock-ready zippers holds a rifle or carbine, as well as a shotgun with a heavily padded barrier separating the two. Given the extended lengths of many of these shotguns, an innovative Barrel Expansion Slot has been incorporated into the body of the bag. This zippered slot adds an addition 5” of use for shotguns up to 51” in length in a case only 46” long.
The front of the case features two oversized large zippered pouches for separating the equipment needed for different parts of the course. On one side, an entire pouch is dedicated to carrying handguns with magazine pockets and padded pistol compartments, while the other houses rifle magazines and shotgun shells. Two additional exterior pouches hold other accessories such as knee pads and gun cleaning equipment. MOLLE-style webbing on the front of the case is for attaching additional magazine pouches, the Safariland Quick Attachment System, or other MOLLE-compatible equipment.
“We relied heavily on design input from Team Safariland members who shoot – and win - Multi-Gun events, to come up with a bag that addresses the needs of serious shooters,” stated Scott Carnahan, Vice President, Marketing, Equipment Products. “I’ve used it myself and am very pleased with the function and features it provides.”
Carrying two long guns, numerous loaded magazines, and a few handguns gets heavy. Because of this, the 4556 offers several modes of carry: regular dual carry strap, a single shoulder strap attached to the bag with lockable D-Rings, and dual padded backpack-style straps for longer carry.
The Model 4556 is offered in black with an MSRP of $159.00 and is available for order today.
