Pelican Unveils The First 17-Hour Off-Road LED Work Light

TORRANCE, CA – April 20, 2007 — Emergency lighting in critical situations isn’t a concern now with the introduction of Pelican™ Products 9450 Remote Area Lighting System (RAL).

Built to go off-road where trucks and vehicles can’t, the 9450 RALS is a rapid deploying, emergency area light, self-contained inside a tough-as-nails Pelican 1510 Protector™ Case.

Assembling in minutes, the 9450 RALS features a multi-angle telescoping light tower that can reach up to eight feet in the air. Its detachable bank of 16 1-watt LEDs can generate up to 1280 lumens of clean, brilliant light.Featuring a removable diffuser filter, the 9450 RALS can give off enough light tocover an entire crime scene. By removing the diffuser, it becomes a high-powered spot beam, perfect for piercing darkness to flush out perps hundreds of yards away.

The 9450 RALS is powered by a 17-hour rechargeable battery that offers up to 9 hours of peak light and takes a mere 6 hours for a full charge. Additionally, the system sports an auxiliary socket that can deliver an emergency charge to any device (such as a cell phone or laptop) with a 12 volt power adapter.

Available in black and orange, the 9450 Remote Area Light System has an MSRP of $799.95, and comes standard withthe Pelican Products Legendary Lifetime Guarantee of Excellence: “You break it we replace it… forever.”™
