Video: AMU presents PD with memorial rifle

The Colt LE6920 Law Enforcement Carbine honors Sgt. Orville Smith, who was killed last July

Timothy Hardiman, Manager of Law Enforcement Programs at the American Military University, made a visit to the Shelton Police Department this morning to present officers with a Colt LE6920 Law Enforcement Carbine.

"This is a necessary tool in this day and age," Hardiman said.

The rifle is engraved with the message "In Memory of Sgt. Smith," who was killed last July after being hit by a drunk driver.
