Team GLOCK- Sevigny and Rogers win IDPA Indoor Nationals with the GLOCK 17 Gen4

SMYRNA, Georgia (3.10.10) – Just five weeks since being released, the GLOCK 17 Gen4 in 9x19 pistol was used to win two National pistol championship titles. Dave Sevigny and Randi Rogers of Team GLOCK won the Stock Service Pistol division and High Lady titles at the IDPA Indoor Nationals, February 25-27, 2010 in Springfield, Massachusetts. More than 250 competitors were tasked with challenges such as drawing and reloading from concealment, shooting while moving, use of cover positions, shooting in low light and total darkness with the aid of a handheld flashlight and engaging partially obscured and moving targets.

Dave Sevigny and Randi Rogers, who often compete with GLOCK 34 pistols, elected to fire the new model 17 Gen4 even with only a handful of practice sessions with the new pistol. Sevigny is an 8-time and reigning IDPA National champion (posting the fastest overall score) and a 7-time IDPA Winter/Indoor National champion. “I like the grip texture best on the Gen4. It was nice to post a win with our latest model”, said Sevigny. Randi Rogers is a 3-time and reigning IDPA Ladies National champion and earned her second consecutive IDPA Ladies Indoor National title." At the IDPA Indoor Nationals I had the pleasure of shooting the newest GLOCK, the model 17 Gen4. Even though the match was challenging and presented a high level of difficulty the Gen4 ran perfectly and I was able to finish with the high lady title,” exclaimed Rogers.

GLOCK Gen4 pistols offer attractive new options to users and are equipped with (1) interchangeable back-straps to suit individual grip size preferences (2) an enhanced grip texture (3) an enlarged magazine catch to help speed a magazine change and (4) a dual recoil spring assembly to soften felt recoil.
