Uniforms for K-9 Handlers

I am currently in the K-9 Unit. My question is what type of uniform do you feel is best for a K-9 Handler. We are currently in 5.11 Tactical. I was told of a rumor that we were going to be placed in regular class A uniforms beside the cost and being more effective is there any other issue that would enhance us into persuading our management in keeping the tactical gear. I heard that there were some issues with the Class A having static electricity and that would not be good for our 2 Explosive Handlers. Do you have any insight on this issue?
