LONDON — Police officers who protect Britain’s royal family will be armed with Taser stun guns in the wake of December’s attack by protesters on Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles.
The move follows widespread criticism of police bodyguards and their commanders after the royal couple was attacked as they were chauffeured through central London during violent tuition-hike protests.
