SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Police used a stun gun to subdue a naked man inside a Santa Barbara home where he was allegedly holding two people hostage at knifepoint.
Phillip Kenneth Matovich is in jail where he has been booked for investigation of attempted murder, burglary, kidnapping, hostage taking, false imprisonment, making terrorist threats and brandishing a knife.
Police say the 26-year-old man broke into two homes. Sgt. Lorenzo Duarte says Matovich was arrested Saturday night inside the second home where he was holding a woman and her boyfriend hostage.
