Ga. officer shot in neck
The Associated Press TIFTON, Ga. — A Tifton police officer is recovering after being shot in the neck while on patrol. Police say Officer Eddie Bailey was checking on property at a convenience store Saturday night when he saw a person wearing a mask in an alley. As Bailey began driving toward the person, another person fired a shot into the passenger side of his patrol car. The bullet hit Bailey in the neck. The suspects fled on foot. Police later arrested 25-year-old Curtis Jermaine Akins but have been looking for a second suspect.
