Sun Ridge Systems Releases RIMS 11
EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. — Sun Ridge Systems announced today the release of the newest version of its public safety software, RIMS 11 (eleven). More than 80 new features and functions have been added to the RIMS software package, refining and expanding upon two decades of continual development.
Many of the RIMS enhancements stem from improved technology, but as part of on-going product improvement and development, the majority of RIMS upgrades come directly from product user feedback. Each year, Sun Ridge Systems hosts a RIMS Users Conference where attendees present their wish lists for the next versions of RIMS. Users then vote on which additions they most want to see implemented.
Continuing in this tradition, RIMS CAD and Records Management now boasts:
•A new case management system that fully automates the paperless case review and approval process.
•Support for E911 Phase II, including location mapping for wireless phone calls.
•18 new CAD enhancements.
•Added support for civil processing, protection orders and subpoenas served on agency personnel.
•A new “maximum security” option for much tighter security rules regarding access and use of RIMS.
“We have never before been able to pack so many enhancements and new features into a single RIMS version before,” said Tony Richards, president of Sun Ridge Systems. “With the input of our users, RIMS just keeps getting better and better.”
RIMS customers subscribing to the RIMS Support and Update Program automatically receive RIMS 11 at no charge.
