RoboteX Prepares for Launch of Robotic Manipulator Arm Accessory
RoboteX, Inc.® is preparing to launch its newest product – the AVATAR® Manipulator Arm. Developed alongside the brand-new AVATAR® II robot, the AVATAR Manipulator Arm will be the most affordable, most intuitive robotic arm on the market.
With a projected release of June 2012, the five-axis AVATAR Manipulator Arm will allow first responders to interact with potentially dangerous objects from a safe distance. It will open most latch-type door knobs, and it will be able to lift objects up to 8 lbs. in weight. The arm will also come equipped with its own color IR-capable camera for enhanced visibility and reconnaissance abilities.
Demand for the AVATAR Manipulator Arm has been high, and RoboteX has said that the arm’s initial stock is already sold out. RoboteX is still accepting orders for the next batch of AVATAR Manipulator Arms, which are currently slated for delivery in mid-to-late 2012. AVATAR Manipulator Arms are available for order with all new purchases of the AVATAR II robots.
