Where did your company name originate from?
The company name is a play on the word precinct.
What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
The company was streamlining paperless business processes in healthcare. We expanded first into public safety in 2004 and changed the company name to Presynct Technologies in 2007. We’ve since penetrated private security, hospitality, and education.
Why do you believe your products are essential to the police community?
Presynct Technologies understands the need for the technology to be as simple as possible. Patrol officers and deputies need quick and easy paperwork. Agencies need complete and accurate documentation. So when we design our software, we start with the user’s perspective. In other words, if it enhances the user’s experience, then engineers have to figure out how best to develop it.
What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
Our biggest challenge has been convincing other vendors that Presynct software is a value-add to their products. Agencies get it right way, but some vendors see us as a competitive threat even though we’re an enhancement rather than a threat.
What makes your company unique?
The company is unique in its approach to product architecture. As I said earlier, our software design begins with the user experience, and our engineers use the best technology available to meet the users’ needs.
What do your customers like best about you and your products?
We have a reputation for excellent customer service and user-friendly software.
What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?
The company has always been in the business of helping public-serving organizations fulfill their mission. We know at the end of every day that we’ve made somebody’s life a little bit better and a little bit safer.
What's next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
We recently announced the iOS/Android app – NoteM8. NoteM8 is an on-demand reporting tool that’s always available. Anyone can use NoteM8 to generate custom forms and field contacts and then share those contacts with other users one-on-one or with their agency’s server-side software.
