Protective Products International Announces Emergency Plan to Ensure Protection of 98,000 of the Nation's Safety Officers from Failed Second Chance Body Armor
Protective Products announces program to rapidly replace body armor at significant discounts with a trade-in of any Second Chance Vest
Sunrise, FL. - In response to an announcement by Second Chance Body Armor Incorporated that an additional 98,000 officers around the nation were at risk due to potentially defective bullet-resistant vests, Protective Products announced that they would immediately provide a replacement bullet-resistant vest of equal threat level protection and would offer a $100 trade-in rebate off of its best law enforcement price schedules for any and all affected officers.
Stephen Giordanella, Protective Products' Chairman, stated that the company was making the offer because there are 98,000 officers around the country that are at risk today and we believe that the first and only real priority should be to ensure their safety. Normally in a situation like this the manufacturer offers a full refund or offers a no cost exchange but due to Second Chance's bankruptcy we believe that they are going to be financially unable to offer a refund to their customers.
