Enforsys Selected As Finalist For New Jersey Technology Council Award
Receives Nod for "Early Stage Company of the Year"
ROSELAND, NJ - Enforsys, Inc., a leading developer of public safety software for first responders, announced that it is one of three finalists for the New Jersey Technology Council's Early Stage Company of the Year award.
Providing information sharing, computer aided dispatch (CAD), records management systems (RMS), and mobile reporting solutions, Enforsys was selected as a finalist in recognition of its contributions for designing, developing and delivering a number of critical technologies significantly improving law enforcement and homeland security in the state of New Jersey.
Specifically, Enforsys has implemented a groundbreaking multi-million dollar initiative to tie together the disparate information management systems of local law enforcement agencies. Employing mobile data terminals to link police departments, the county sheriff, as well as the prosecutor and emergency management agencies in Morris County, the project is part of a six-county Urban Area Security Initiative that was set-up by the federal government to coordinate regional response to acts of terrorism.
"The Morris County initiative is the first time a large group of different law enforcement agencies have had real-time access to important information and intelligence," commented Vincent Tortoriello, president and co-founder of Enforsys and a former officer with the Roseland Police Department. "It is without a doubt the most robust and user-friendly regional information sharing system in the nation."
Tortoriello added that he was honored that the New Jersey Technology Council had recognized Enforsys, and pleased that New Jersey was being acknowledged as a source for information sharing solutions at the national level.
Founded in 1996, the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) provides business support, networking opportunities, information, and advocacy for technology companies and their leaders in the state of New Jersey. Regarding the Council's Early Stage Company of the Year award, a winner will be announced during the NJTC Awards Gala on November 16, 2006 at a 6:00 PM ceremony in Newark's New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
