Salient Stills VideoFOCUS Image Production Services
Image Creation Salient Stills can create high-resolution 300 dpi images from your 72 dpi video source. Unlike a traditional frame grab system, Salient Stills' patented technology improves the resolution of ordinary video. The technology uses patented algorithms to process sequential video frames in order to produce high-quality still images with more detail, greater dynamic range, less noise, and higher resolution.
VideoFOCUS can improve the quality of any kind of video source - from high quality BetaSP source typically used by the advertising and post-production communities to lower quality video captured by security and surveillance systems.
Demultiplexing Salient Stills can demultiplex your surveillance video and convert individual camera views to DVD, a perfect solution for archiving and presentation purposes. Pricing is contingent on tape quality and length. Please ask for a price quote if you are interested in this service.

For image creation services please include a detailed letter specifying areas of interest and descriptions of the desired images. If possible, include timecode information related to specific frames. In the case of VHS tapes, it is helpful to include tape counter readings corresponding to target frames (this should be done by first rewinding the tape to the beginning, and resetting the counter to 00:00:00 before locating the frames).
Include your return address, email and telephone information in case we need to contact you.
Formats
We accept VHS (NTSC or PAL), BetaSP (NTSC) DV (NTSC) and Hi8 (NTSC) video tapes. We also accept Quicktime supported video files on CD-ROM or DVD. (If you wish to send digital files please inquire about specifications regarding this format). Returning Images
Images are returned on CD-ROM as Bitmap, JPEG or TIFF files. Please specify which file format you prefer in your letter.
Printing
We can provide 8.5x11 photo quality prints with this service upon request.
Processing Time
Times may vary depending on the size and nature of your project. Typically, it will take 1-3 business days to process images. Demultiplexing and DVD services are more time intensive and are likely to take 10 business days to complete. An additional day is required to ship your product and original materials back to you.
Pricing
Images from video - $150.00 per image. Photo quality prints - $10.00 per print. Demultiplexing and DVD authoring - Ask for a price quote.
