BMW Suggests the Power Management Module PN 99 99 0 000 515
The Police Relay Module 99 99 0 000 611, which relays the functions of brake light, tail light, turn signals, as well as switched power and constant power for accessories, was last upgraded on production date 24/04 (marked on component) with larger capacity relays to reduce complaints associated with auxiliary turn signal lights sticking-on when operated at very low voltage levels. That change should solve all previously reported complaints regarding that issue. To reduce the likelihood of any problems, always keep your auxiliary battery charged. The new maintenance-free gel batteries are a significant improvement in this area as they do not boil-off water when recharging. Field experience shows that they are significantly better than previous batteries. If your motor has a large parasitic draw that can reduce battery voltage while parked, we suggest using the BMW Power Management Module PN 99 99 0 000 515 which is a 1-hour timer that shuts-off all power to a circuit one hour after the ignition switch is turned-off. The Power Management Module can be added at any time during the life of the motorcycle.
