Maxpedition Launches New Products For Summer 2007

Gardena, CA – New MAXPEDITION® products for Summer 2007 release will be announced progressively over the next few days on this press release. Items listed below are already in production and set to deliver from mid-June through July. Pre-orders will be allowed promptly after all items are released. Photographs are of prototypes; final production models may very slightly. The sequence in which items are listed have no relationship with the order in which they will be delivered.

#0223 TacTile™ Pocket - Small

The Small TacTile™ Pocket is an ultra flat general purpose pouch that can be stacked on top of one another or onto other size TacTile™ pouches. It is equipped with full PALS matrix front and sides to accept other accessories as well. Great for unobtrusive attachment to any modular surface without “wasting” attachment points. Integral D-rings allow pouch to be used for stand-alone shoulder carry using optional strap. A 5” x 1” loop field can be used to attach ID or other patches. Recommended for iPod, cellphone, digital cameras, batteries, documents, maps, compass, pens, tools, gloves, first aid supplies, power bars, and any other small items.

The MERLIN™ Folding Backpack is a light-weight "escape-and-evasion" style backpack that folds into itself forming a small MOLLE-compatible packet which can be attached onto belts or other modular platforms using Malice clips. When unfolded, the main compartment of the pack will hold approximately 1080 cu. in. of gear. A totally separate back compartment equipped with top D-ring can hold a hydration reservoir, flat items such as maps/documents, or a folded towel/jacket. Two separate frontal pockets allow organization of smaller items. Our unique zipper pull limiter system allows user to adjust the direction of lower pocket opening depending on the pack’s expanded or contracted state. Important note: the body of the MERLIN™ backpack is made from tough 420-denier coated nylon fabric (internal seams finished, of course) to take advantage of its ability to fold into a small space. Frontal pockets are made from 1000-denier coated nylon fabric.

The OCTA™ Versipack is a combat-ready waist bag designed to maximize usable space in a compact package and to provide comfort while standing, kneeling, or sitting down through its shape and contour. A flashlight "cave" on top of lid for quick access to lighting, with bungee compression capabilities for larger items such as water bottles. Back side has webbing matrix which can fit up to 4 short Malice clips. Additional 1" loops on either end for Grimlocs, Annex or Slik Clips useful when attaching to side PALS panels on back packs narrower than the Octa™.

The JANUS™ is a two-faced pocket, one side features loop fields for ID patches while the other side has PALS webbing to accept modular accessories. An adjustable and removable strap allows user to decide which side should face forward and whether the opening points to the left or right. The JANUS™ splices into 2” shoulder straps or waist straps using compatible quick release buckle components, providing additional storage for most customers or elongating a fully extended shoulder/waist strap for larger folks. The extension strap can also be completely removed and used independently of the pouch. The pouch too can be used independently by modular attachment to PALS webbing using a pair of long Malice Clips (also with either side facing outwards, opening left or right).

The MANTA™ Versipack™ is an ambidextrous, shoulder worn CCW platform on which user can custom configure with MAXPEDITION® pockets and accessories. It can also be used as a stand-alone system. A hydration loop is provided in the back compartment for suspending a 50oz. or smaller hydration reservoir. Abrasion-resistant nylon netting combined with closed cell foam backing provides breathability and comfort.

The REMORA™ can be piggy-backed onto larger packs using SlikClips.
