Decatur Electronics, Inc. Releases Gemini Plus II™ Video
 DECATUR, IL – The next generation of digital tape in-car video systems has been released by Decatur Electronics, Inc., to provide a cost-effective alternative for police departments demanding high quality without high price.
The company’s Gemini Plus II™ in-car video system uses the SONY Digital 8™ tape recorder to produce from 90 to 135 minutes of high-resolution recordings. The Gemini Plus II combines this improved tape clarity with enhanced audio quality for an industry benchmark in evidentiary documenting recordings. The system can be mounted in vehicles either overhead or in a two-piece console mounting and is easily installed in less than 45 minutes.
Decatur introduced the Gemini Plus™ line of in-car video tape record systems in 2002 and has placed more than 7,500 units in small and large police departments across the United States. In addition to its newest Gemini Plus II system, the company offers true hard drive digital with its Gemini Digital line of in-car video.
“Our Gemini Plus II meets the needs of departments wanting high quality video without the expense of moving to the next tier of true digital,” said Greg Roberts, Decatur’s sales manager. “This allows departments to easily upgrade and improve their Gemini Plus systems or to move to a cost effective but high-quality system.”
