Law Enforcement Technology Leader Now Supports Fire, EMS, Rescue, and Haz-Mat

Whippany, N.J. – Enforsys Systems Inc., a leader in public safety software, today announced that it has acquired Emergency Software Products, Inc. (ESP), a maker of records management software for fire, EMS, rescue and hazardous material agencies. Terms were not disclosed.

The strategic acquisition strengthens Enforsys’ leadership position within the public safety software sector, bringing the number of public service agencies it serves to more than 700 across 17 states. All ESP employees will remain with the company, which will continue to sell and service their existing product line under the Emergency Software Products name. Headquartered in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, ESP offers a suite of modules that address a wide variety of areas including NFIRS (National Fire Incident Reporting System) 5.0, EMS incident reports, fire and property inspections, personnel and training records, and inventory/maintenance to name a few.

“Many of our customers have been asking when they could buy a solution for fire and emergency services that was as good as our law enforcement product, so this was a logical market for us to enter,” explained George Lieberman, CEO of Enforsys. “ESP is a wellrespected leader in the space, and will help us get closer to our goal of empowering public safety by being the leading provider of public safety software.”

In addition to fulfilling a broader range of customer needs and increasing potential market, ESP will provide Enforsys with significant strategic benefits. “Data from ESP will add intelligence to the Enforsys I-3 Exchange information sharing system, and on the financial side the acquisition will allow for increased investment in R&D, technology and CRM,” Lieberman explained. He added that this marks Enforsys’ third acquisition in 2005.

“The diverse segments of public safety software are rapidly converging, and we are extremely pleased to get in on the ground floor of this market evolution by joining a company like Enforsys,” said Ira Schonfeld, CEO, ESP. “With its best-in-class technology and unparalleled expertise, Enforsys has quickly established itself as a leader whose vision is shaping the industry, and we look forward to being a major part of that.”
