Patron Systems Collaborates in the Implementation of a Multi-Million Dollar Public Safety Information Sharing Network in Minneapolis, MN
FormStream Mobile Field Reporting software enhances officer safety and productivity with e-form technology that allows for faster and more complete and accurate information sharing
BOULDER, CO - Patron Systems, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: PTRN ) announced today the company’s role in the successful implementation of an e-forms based mobile field reporting solution as part of a multi-million dollar, multi-agency information-sharing network between public safety organizations in Minneapolis, MN. The Patron solution will now allow participating agencies to wirelessly complete and file electronic reports from the field more quickly and with greater detail and efficiency than traditional paper methods; thus allowing information to become actionable more quickly and increasing the safety of emergency professionals and that of the public at large.
Patron Systems’ FormStrea™ mobile field reporting software solution provides more flexibility and customization with in-house form creation (i.e. incident reports, arrest sheets, tow slips, etc.), completion tools and mobile form processing. To help officers in the field, FormStream presents an electronic version of traditional paper reports allowing personnel in the field to automatically collect and insert select data sets into pre-configured fields reducing manual data entry. FormStream e-reports are form-based and mirror the look and layout of paper reports; a feature that has allowed officers to validate electronic reports prior to printing and distribution.
The multi-agency network is a collaborative project between Patron Systems and TriTech Software Systems, whose partnership was formed through the complementary technology offerings of the two companies. As demonstrated in the Minneapolis deployment, Patron’s FormStream solution integrates with TriTech’s VisiCAD Command computer aided dispatch (CAD) system and VisiNet Browser data retrieval system, to provide both framework and content for the information-sharing network.
The combined system supports 1,500 registered users and 350 vehicles. Participating agencies include: Minneapolis Emergency Communications center (MECC), Minneapolis Police, Fire Department, University of Minnesota Police (U of M PD) and Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) EMS.
“The tight integration of technologies that forms the backbone of the Minneapolis multi-agency partnership is an exemplary model of effective information sharing between public entities,” said Braden Waverley, CEO of Patron Systems. “Our FormStream solution not only allows officers to complete forms more quickly and accurately, but when combined with TriTech’s mobile data solutions gives officers in the field quicker access to information benefiting not only their own safety but that of the public as well.”
