First-ever Husband And Wife Team To Win National Championship For Team SAFARILAND
Team SAFARILAND'S Rob And Kippi Leatham Take Top Honors At The 2007 Sprignfield USPSA Single Stack National Championship
Ontario, CA —Safariland, one of the world’s largest suppliers of holsters and duty gear, is honored to announce that Rob and Kippi Leatham, both long standing members of Team Safariland, have won the National Title at the 2007 Springfield 1911 Single Stack/USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) Nationals on April 27-28, 2007 at PASA Park in Barry, Ill. – making them the first-ever husband and wife team to win a US National Title at the same match.

Representing Team Safariland, Safariland’s industry-leading competition and sport shooting product development team, Rob and Kippi Leatham were outfitted with a Model 568 Custom Fit Paddle concealment holster and a Model 079 Double Magazine Holder. Rob used a 028 Buckleless Belt and Kippi sported a Model L830 Plainclothes Belt. They both compete with the Springfield Armory Custom 1911 Government model.
Rob, who has been a member of Team Safariland for 20 years, has won the Springfield 1911 Single Stack Classic every year since its inception in 1995, and has won 19 national championship titles, more than any other competitive shooter. Kippi, who has shot this match for the past three years after returning from her nine-year hiatus from shooting sports, also won this match in 2005, earning her a lifetime total of four national championship titles.
As a life-long professional sport shooter, Rob has an impressive resume of competition titles, including:
A five-time IPSC World Champion, traveling to Guayaquil, Equador; Pietersburg, South Africa; and Caracas, Venezuela as a member of Gold Team USA
A six-time Steel Challenge Champion
A six-time IDPA CDP National Champion
A six-time NRA Bianchi Cup Champion
A three-time American Handgunner® World Shootoff® Champion
A 1985 Triple Crown Winner as the only person to ever win the Bianchi Cup, the Steel Challenge and the IPSC/USPSA Nationals in one year
