Georgia State Trooper Joins Decatur Sales Force
Decatur, IL – Maj. Corky Jewell, formerly of the Georgia State Patrol, has joined Decatur Electronics, Inc. as Regional Sales Consultant for the state of Georgia.
Jewell has 34 years law enforcement experience, having begun his career with the Walker County, GA, Sheriff’s Department in 1973. He wrote the law enforcement plan for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta and was assigned to the Command Staff for planning and operation of the State of Georgia’s involvement in the Democratic Party National Convention in 1988.
Jewell said he looks forward to working with his peers in the state of Georgia and providing them with the service and products of another long-time law enforcement figure - Decatur Electronics.
“I’m excited about working for Decatur,” he said. “I’ve been a Trooper and Assistant Post Commander in GSP posts, managed equipment, and seen the ways officers work. Decatur has been in the business for more than 50 years and is known for its quality, innovative products and its service. We are a good match.”
Greg Roberts, National Sales Manager for Decatur, called Jewel’s decision to join Decatur’s team testimony to the company’s strengths.
