Patron Systems Delivers Expanded Mobile Field Reporting Capabilities with New Customer-Driven Features

Patron Systems Now Shipping Expanded FormStream 3.1

Boulder, CO—Patron Systems, Inc., a leading provider of application software and services focused on business process management for the public sector, announced today the market availability of FormStream™ 3.1 Mobile Field Reporting software, a significant dot release that delivers increased usability and flexibility through enhanced report management, dynamic mobile report administration and heightened performance.

FormStream software allows secure electronic form creation and completion, advanced forms routing, notification and process management capabilities in a mobile environment. It replaces the time-consuming process of completing paper reports manually and sending them from channel-to-channel until they reach the records management system.  FormStream ultimately makes data available and officers safer; in addition, agencies can deliver more cost-effective policing to their constituents.

The new release includes several performance and form development enhancements in addition to user features:

  • Form Packaging which enhances the ability to share information among forms for improved grouping and management of reports.  Packaging reduces the amount of typing in addition to allowing an officer to logically group a series of forms and evidence into a package or case folder.
  • Officers will have the ability to reassign an electronic form allowing for more detailed and timely form completion, more efficient resource management and better information availability.  FormStream maintains an audit trail or all transactions.  This is an important feature for busy officers that often get called away from a scene in order to respond to other emergencies.
  • Automatic updates and synchronization of code tables while in a mobile environment; such as the UCR and NIBRS crime codes, vehicle makes, weapon types and so forth.  This automated feature ensures that officers are working with the most current data sets when completing field reports while minimizing beck-end administration efforts to provide the updated information.
  • “The evolving needs of our customers help shape FormStream enhancements,” said Mark Gergen, Patron Systems Vice President of Technology.  “Patron’s product team works closely with agencies across the United States to ensure that we are providing the functionality agencies need and that officers in the field want.  We strive to deliver the most technically advanced mobile field reporting solution that will help officers be more efficient and productive while making the data in the reports more accurate and actionable.”

Patron will be demonstrating FormStream Mobile Field Reporting Software in the exhibitor hall, booth #2242, at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference this October 14-16, 2007 located in the New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, for more information visit www.patronsystems.com/new/IACP_2007.php.
