EAGLEVILLE, PA - October 16, 2007 - Eagleville-based lighting tools manufacturer Streamlight®, Inc. was recently recognized by Shooting Industry magazine with its "Specialty Product of the Year" award. The award was given to Streamlight for its new Stinger® LED rechargeable flashlight.

This year's award-winning Stinger LED rechargeable flashlight features a super high-flux, three-watt LED that delivers up to 80-lumens of ultra-bright light, with multiple light modes, including strobe. The shockproof, 20,000 hour rated LED is designed to last the lifetime of the flashlight, relegating blown bulbs a thing of the past. Streamlight's deep-dish parabolic reflector produces an optimal long-range targeting beam with plentiful peripheral illumination.
The LED design also delivers increased runtime when compared to traditional incandescent lights. The Stinger LED's rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium battery delivers runtimes of up to 1.75-hours on high, 3.5 continuous hours on medium, or up to 6.75 continuous hours on low power or strobe mode. It can be recharged up to 1,000 times using the included compact snap-in charger, or any existing Stinger charger.
The Stinger LED is constructed of machined and anodized aircraft aluminum, with a non-slip rubberized comfort grip and anti-roll rubber ring, which allows the light to stay in place on an uneven surface.
