Off Duty Corrections Officer Crawls inside Overturned, Burning Car To Save Young Girl’s Life

Heber City, Utah —The willingness to risk his life for another and the toughness of the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System flashlight helped off-duty Corrections Officer, Lee O. Lindsay Jr., Major save the life of a young lady in a burning vehicle.

The following is his first hand account of the incident as related to us recently at the Shot Show in Las Vegas. 

“Approximately six/seven years ago, I attended your demonstration and training at the Salt Lake County range with Nick Roberts.  Shortly afterwards I purchase and started carrying one of your Tigerlights.  Christmas of that year my wife and I were driving to her parents home to celebrate Christmas.  That morning it had been snowing and the roads had been cleared of snow and ice.

We were Northbound on 7300 West turning right onto SR-201, when we heard and felt a collision behind us.  As I looked into the rearview mirror, I could see an East bound vehicle had broadsided a smaller vehicle turning South onto 7300 West.   The smaller vehicle was now upside down and on fire.  As I exited my vehicle I gabbed your light (the TigerLight).

The smaller vehicle was crunched from the front seat to the rear window.  A young lady was now trapped upside down inside the burning vehicle and my only way into the car was through the front windshield.  After telling the lady to clam down and protect her face, I used your flashlight to beat a hole through the front windshield and crawl into her car. I was able to remove her from the vehicle and rendered first aid until the Fire Dept arrived.

Your flashlight is worn, beat to death and has a dent on the lens cover.  I am still carrying and using it every day.  Thank you for a GREAT product!
